Plans, billing, and team organisations
Understand current personal and team plans, trials, seats, checkout, and promotion.
FeatureGate separates personal plans from team plans. Check the public pricing page before purchase; the values below describe the current implemented billing catalogue.
Legacy Free is grandfathered. An organisation cannot be assigned Free again after leaving it.
| Organisation | Plan | Current price |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Hobby | $12 yearly |
| Personal | Pro | $12 monthly or $120 yearly |
| Team | Team | $12 per active member monthly or $120 yearly, three-member minimum |
| Team | Business | Custom and support-assisted |
New self-serve paid organisations require a payment method and receive a 14-day trial. Trialing and active provider states project into the console billing surface.
Team checkout begins at three seats: $36 monthly or $360 yearly. The minimum applies even when the
organisation has fewer than three accepted active members.
Do not create repeated trial organisations as an environment or project strategy. Use projects and environments inside the correct customer boundary.
Accepted active Team members count toward provider quantity. Pending invitations do not count as active billed members.
Above the three-seat minimum, accepting an additional member increases quantity. Removing or leaving can reduce quantity when accepted membership remains above the minimum.
Grandfathered Team Free organisations use separate invite-limit gates. They cannot be recreated as a new Free team after conversion.
Owners and admins can manage billing. The Billing page shows plan, cycle, trial or subscription state, occupied seats, payment management, invoices, receipts, and tax details where Polar provides them.
FeatureGate stores active provider product mappings in the operator billing catalogue. Customer documentation and deployment configuration should not hard-code provider product IDs.
Billing notification emails respect the account's optional billing preference. Security, ownership, role, and direct access-change messages remain mandatory.
Start from the organisation switcher and choose the routed new-team flow. Enter identity, confirm the Team plan, and complete paid checkout.
Creating a new team never creates a new Free team. Projects remain in the source organisation unless you create them in or transfer them to the new team deliberately.
A personal owner can promote an existing Hobby, Pro, or grandfathered personal Free organisation. Paid Team checkout is required.
After an active or trialing webhook confirms billing:
Promotion is not reversible. A team organisation cannot convert back to personal, and Free cannot be re-entered.
Business pricing, manual billing, and supported migrations require operator assistance. Do not attempt to force self-serve checkout when the console identifies a support-managed plan.
